Aluminiumwerk Unna AG has specialized in the production of tube products. Seamless tubes can be ordered in all available alloys. Using a number of different container sizes on our mandrel piercing extrusion presses, we cover a large spectrum of dimensions. Tubes having a smaller outside diameter or a thin wall are drawn to the final dimension. Please refer to the charts for our dimensional capability.
Another reason for the drawing of the tubes can be a requirement for very tight dimensional tolerances. For alloys whose strength is achieved by work hardening, we can offer the required temper by cold drawing to final dimension. Do you want to form the tubes into a different shape? By a carefully controlled sequence of drawings and heat treatments, we achieve a fine, uniform grain structure. With these tubes you can reach maximum deformation in processes such as bending and shaping.
Sometimes the tubes or profiles are required in short fixed lengths rather than long or random lengths. This opportunity is provided by our associated sawing mill. Depending on the dimension of the tube we can offer various surface finishes. We can offer grinding, polishing or honing, to bring the outside and inside surfaces to the desired quality.
