SEAMLESS ALUMINUM TUBES

AVAILABLE IN ALL ALLOYS

We supply seamless aluminum tubes in all available alloys. We have five extrusion presses featuring a lock mandrel fixture that cover a wide range of dimensions with their different recipient diameters. The dimension range of our seamless extruded tubes extends from 17 mm to 300 mm.

We use the seamless extrusion method to process all common wrought alloys. In a subsequent drawing process, tubes with small outside diameters or thin wall thicknesses receive their final contour.

Seamless extrusion of aluminum tubes (indirect)

There are some differences between direct and indirect extrusion. In direct extrusion, the punch pushes the block in a sliding motion along the inner surface of the recipient towards the die. This creates a high frictional force between the recipient and the aluminum block.

In an indirect extrusion process, the recipient moves with the aluminum block in the direction of the die. This eliminates friction between the aluminum block and the recipient, allowing alloys that are difficult to extrude directly to be extruded at lower temperatures.
